Phase One TWS Expansion (Aug 2004)

It's been 2 months now that I've been working through the dawg heat of the summer. Admittedly it has been a cooler summer than years past.
Bear in mind that I'm stripping all the material to be recovered for other uses, hundreds of 2x6's & 2X4's, stacks of sheeting material, pounds upon pounds of nails, even re-bundling the bats of fiber-glass insulation.

Once the last of the nails were pulled, I spent 2 days just sweeping-up and sorting through the lumber before building these benches.
The materials I selected were all rough milled timbers, true 4X4's, 2X6's and 2X4's. The far bench is re-enforced to be able to hold a V8 engine if need be (hopefully)...

A clean 15AMP circuit is wired in just to support the benches power requirements.
Each bench has 4 outlets.

Overhead are 6 (six) 4ft fluorescent fixtures...
The white walls are great for reflecting the light in the shed, I will be installing at least 3 more fixtures, as I can't have too much light in my work spaces...

A dedicated 30AMP 220V circuit was also wired in for the welder, with a 110V outlet tapped off for the compressor.
The wire I installed is over rated at AWG #8, my rational was that if the welder started to trip the breaker on a regular basis, I'd only have to upgrade the breaker as the wire was a bitch to run back to the panel...

So this is it... The nicest work space I've ever owned.
After spending years fumbling under vehicles and equipment in the rain, wind, snow, heat or any combination there of, I'm well pleased...
Even just working on a concrete pad is heaven compared to dropping nuts, bolts, pins and tools into the grass or dirt never to be seen again...
