Electrifying our Corner of Lake "X"

This is another installment on the ways that I piss my time away...
I thought it would be a neat addition to our Lakeside Summer home to add a simple electrical system...
On the table is a "Walmart" 300VA inverter, 39AH Sealed Lead acid Cell (12VDC), an assortment of Compact fluorescent bulbs and misc electrical wire and fixtures...

This as the water tank storage area, but has just been cleared out as the Electrical System is about to be placed in a convenient location.
I don't know why I have a picture of the empty bench seat box... I thought I took a picture of the Inverter, Battery & hook-up in place...

The AC feed from the inverter actually comes out the floor and back into the original Hook-up on the side of the camper...
This way all the breaker, and original AC wiring is still entact... Also it saves having a live line with exposed prongs in the storage box if the camper is re-connected to the grid...
Not bloody likely...

This exterior fixture had to be added and wired into the existing circuit...
Everything is actually done to spec with a proper switch and AWG #12 copper...
The bulb is also a Compact Fluorescent bulb rated to provide the equivalent lumens of a 60W bulb, but consume 15W of power...
I assume that eventually bulbs will all come rated with Wattage and lumens, as the incandescent bulb eventually fades from general usage.

This is just one of 2 (two) interior lights...
There is also a propane fixture, but the system leaks so badly that I have concerns that the camper will explode some day.

If you enjoyed the last picture wait till you see this, the second of the 2 (two) fixtures...
The leak that caused the ceiling damage was fixed a few years ago, but doubt that I'll ever get around to doing anything about the stain...
If anybody would like to see the single outlet, please email me for a copy... I opt'd to omit it from the web site for fear that the reader become so over stimulated that some form of cardiac arrest result...

So as dusk settles around Lake "X" and a ready supply of cold beer is on hand, I settled down by the fire and just stared jaw agape at the marvel of this new fangled Electricity that apparently is quite common in the city.
I've even heard tell that some folks have flush toilets, but that may just be crazy talk...
